So, I wrote a book on being a CTO in a startup and everything that I learnt the hard way. Unfortunately, I never got it to a place where I was happy with the structure and so I never published it.
When I first started in the CTO role I found myself needing to have knowledge of a broad range of subjects, some of which I didn’t even know existed. I often found myself having to quickly research specific topics or think on my feet. This wasn’t ideal.
My intention with the book was to give someone starting out in a startup CTO role a single place to go to give them a brief grounding in everything they might need to know. I still believe this is a worthwhile aim.
Having done a bit of soul searching I have decided to rewrite each chapter as an individual blog post and make it available for free. Enjoy :)
